2023 Dreams for this Tired Mom

Okay, I’ll jump in on this trend. Below is the (bucket) list of things I’d like to maybe accomplish/start this year. It’s both long and not very challenging. For the most part.

  • Bake a pie
  • Go for a walk along the beach
  • Make soup

  • Read the books on my TBR
  • Write a will (How’s that for daunting?)
  • Hire finance advisor
  • Take a trip to Portland
  • Paint two rooms in the house (Suck it up and just pick a color already. If it’s wrong, well you can repaint it some other time. Stop overthinking this!)
  • Bind a book (Because why not?)

  • Get another tattoo
  • Plan a major vacation (Europe? Someplace beachy? Road trip?)
  • Save $10k in emergency fund (can this be done in a single year? I guess I’ll find out.)
  • Buy a car (HA! Did that! What a way to start the year off! This is my happy dance!!!)
  • Finish His Dark Materials, The Walking Dead, and The Expanse
  • Watch Arcane and Shadow and Bone
  • Visit family quarterly (minimum)
  • Play board games
  • Get hair cut
  • Take the level 3 test in JKD (I’m ready!)

    • Go to farmer’s market
    • Stick to a weekly workout routine (I just want to increase my workouts by one or two a week. Is that really so much to ask for?)
    • Complete Duolingo’s Spanish course
    • Paint canvas for at least 3 individuals as gifts

Huh. I somehow managed to make a 23 in 2023 list. Go me.

For reals though, this is a list of things that I would love to make happen. But if any of it doesn’t happen, well, that’s okay too.
