Life is a journey. Sometimes it is hard and sometimes it is fun but it’s always an adventure. Here’s a list of things that got me through last week’s adventures.
- ember mug. I have the original model (the newest version is linked here) and I LOVE it. This is the way to drink tea or coffee at any hour without worry of it getting cold on you. My mug is set to 125 degrees and this week has been full of coffee with Swiss Miss cocoa.
- Tayberries. Tossed on yogurt or as a snack all by themselves. I love berry season!
- Kindle on Android. I’ve been on the go a lot this week so being able to pull up the book I’m reading whenever I have downtime, no matter where I am, has been essential.
- Tekukor notebook. I always have my journal nearby. It is the keeper of my to-do lists, notes, and thoughts. This particular brand is my new favorite with it’s heavy weight dot paper, three bookmarks, and a cute cover.
- Gracco Jogger Stroller. My daughter is outgrowing the babybjorn and wants to see the world more. We go on walks around the neighborhood with this and it navigates all the uneven sidewalks without any effort from me.
- Teething toys. My daughter has her first tooth coming in and it is an event. This goat is her favorite at the moment and it is the only thing keeping me sane.
- The sunshine! We are having a perfectly normal PNW summer where the mornings are cold and the afternoons are warm. I am living for the sunshine at the moment, anything to pretend that the coronavirus lockdown isn’t driving me crazy.
- The avocado pit I decided to try growing from. It has cracked which I’m told is a good thing so fingers crossed it starts to grow a little root here soon. As someone who does not have a green thumb this is very exciting to me.
- Yoga with Adrienne. I highly recommend checking out her channel. She’s got yoga for all things: back pain, bad mood, long sessions, short sessions, etc. My husband and I have been following her 30 day series Home for almost 3 weeks now and I can feel myself getting stronger.
I hope your life has brought you more joy than hardships this last week. I’ve been struggling more than usual but the little things, like my daughter smiling at me after her nap or my husband humoring me because he knows I need a laugh, have been giving me strength. What’s something you can’t live without this week?
